Honor Our Desires as Sacred Guidance

Desire, at its deepest level, is not about acquiring things but about expressing our fullest potential. When we long for something, it is often a reflection of the untapped qualities and abilities within us, waiting to be realized. True desire calls us to growth, to a fuller experience of life, and to a deeper understanding of who we truly are. It is not about external accumulation but about internal expansion—an unfolding of the divine essence that already exists within.

We are whole beings in potential, and our desires serve as a compass pointing us toward our highest expression. Every yearning we feel, when examined through a spiritual lens, is an invitation to step into a greater version of ourselves. Just as a seed contains the blueprint for a mighty tree, our desires contain the energy and vision needed to bring forth our wholeness. By listening to them with wisdom and aligning them with divine purpose, we allow our lives to unfold in harmony with the infinite possibilities of Spirit.

Goethe’s words remind us that desire is not random; it is the whisper of our soul revealing what we are capable of achieving. It is the bridge between our present state and our ultimate accomplishments, calling us forward with faith and conviction. When we honor our desires as sacred guidance rather than mere wishes, we unlock the power to transform, to create, and to fully embody the divine potential that has always been within us.

The Good News

“The good news is that the moment you decide that what you know is more important than what you have been taught to believe, you will have shifted gears in your quest for abundance. Success comes from within, not from without.”
― Ralph Waldo Emerson

Emerson’s quote speaks to the transformative power of personal insight over inherited beliefs. Often, we are conditioned by societal norms, religious teachings, and cultural expectations that dictate how we should perceive success and abundance. However, true growth begins when we challenge these external influences and trust our own understanding. The moment we recognize that our inner wisdom holds greater value than what we’ve been told, we reclaim our power to shape our reality. This shift in consciousness allows us to move beyond limitations imposed by others and step into a mindset of self-reliance and personal truth.

Success, as Emerson suggests, is an internal process rather than an external acquisition. Many people chase material wealth, believing it to be the key to fulfillment, yet true abundance is a state of mind. When we cultivate inner confidence, creativity, and resilience, we naturally attract opportunities and experiences that align with our highest potential. The foundation of success lies in how we perceive ourselves and the world, not in external circumstances. By embracing our own knowledge and intuition, we tap into a wellspring of possibilities that extend far beyond what traditional teachings may have led us to believe.

This realization is both liberating and empowering. It encourages us to break free from limiting paradigms and explore new ways of thinking, living, and creating. When we trust our own wisdom, we no longer depend on external validation or approval to measure our worth. Instead, we become architects of our own destiny, recognizing that abundance is not something we must seek, it is something we cultivate from within. Emerson’s words remind us that true success is not about accumulating wealth or status but about aligning with our own inner truth and allowing that truth to guide our journey.

Prosper with Wisdom and Purpose

Charles Fillmore, in his book Prosperity, emphasizes the importance of unwavering faith in God as the ever-present source of substance. He teaches that prosperity is not merely about material wealth but about aligning one’s mind with divine abundance. When individuals first attempt to shift their thinking toward seeing God as the ever-present substance that sustains all, they often struggle to maintain that belief consistently. This is because years of conditioned scarcity thinking create doubt, which can momentarily break their spiritual momentum. Fillmore encourages persistence in holding onto the idea that divine substance is always available, even when outer circumstances appear challenging.

He highlights a common pitfall: allowing fear and lack-based thinking to creep back into consciousness. When people suddenly doubt their sufficiency—thinking, "I haven't enough to meet all our bills"—they essentially disconnect from the flow of divine provision. This lapse in faith acts as a disruption, slowing down the manifestation process. Fillmore teaches that spiritual manifestation requires continuous and unwavering belief. If one falters, they must immediately "patch it up" by reaffirming the truth that God is the source of infinite supply. This discipline of the mind is crucial in developing a prosperous consciousness.

To successfully manifest prosperity, Fillmore advises replacing doubt with steadfast spiritual conviction. The key is to train the mind to remain anchored in divine abundance, regardless of external conditions. This requires daily affirmations, prayer, and a refusal to entertain thoughts of lack. Just as a break in momentum slows down a moving object, a lapse in faith slows down prosperity’s unfolding. However, by quickly correcting these mental breaks and realigning with the truth of God’s abundant presence, individuals can restore their progress and experience the fullness of divine provision in their lives.

As we replace the word God, with Good, we have a greater chance of demonstrating the financial prosperity we desire. And consider following this: And so, we begin our work with one of the fundamentals ... "give and be given to."  And why do we start with this? ... it is because we are conditioning our mind to accept that "we have" ... a "have not" consciousness cannot demonstrate more ... and is most likely to demonstrate "loss" ... and each one of us can begin to do this immediately.  So, we begin by always giving more ... going the "extra mile" so to speak in consciousness.  This can be as simple as rounding up our payment to the utility companies to tip more than the typical 15% ...  for example, if our electric bill is $144.00 ... write the check for $150.00 ... or $145.00 if you're not sold on this yet ... calculate your tip at 15% and then "deliberately" add $5 or $10 dollars more ... recognizing all the while that you are working with a principle.  Use every opportunity to demonstrate your consciousness of abundance.  These simple steps "condition" our mind to always think "more" ... and in thinking more ... more will come to us.  And don't limit this to money ... give more of everything when the opportunity is available to you ... purposefully go beyond what is expected ... and give more or do more ... always.  Create a "mental atmosphere" of abundance ... of "having" ... don't go into debt to do it ... but do it with wisdom and purpose.

From Health-Hell to Feeling Well

Having an illness that doctors misdiagnose can be a deeply frustrating and isolating experience. You may endure persistent symptoms while being told it’s nothing serious or given treatments that don’t help—or even make things worse. The uncertainty can lead to anxiety, self-doubt, and exhaustion as you search for answers, often feeling dismissed or unheard by medical professionals. Meanwhile, your condition may worsen, and the emotional toll of repeated misdiagnoses can be as overwhelming as the physical symptoms themselves.

When I found myself struggling with an illness that doctors misdiagnosed, I realized that my mindset would play a crucial role in my healing journey. Instead of allowing frustration and fear to take over, I chose to embrace positive thinking. Every morning, I set intentions for my day, focusing on gratitude for the health and strength I did have. I reminded myself that my body was capable of healing and that I had the power to support my own well-being. Rather than dwelling on uncertainty, I visualized myself feeling strong, vibrant, and full of energy. This shift in perspective helped me release stress, which I knew was essential for my body’s ability to recover.

Affirmations became a daily practice that reinforced my belief in my own healing. I repeated phrases like “My body is resilient and restores itself every day” and “I am worthy of health and vitality.” Even on difficult days, I refused to let discouragement take control. Instead, I spoke words of encouragement to my body, trusting that each step I took—whether through new medical consultations, or simply resting—was leading me closer to wellness. Daily, I noticed that my outlook improved, my energy increased, and I felt more in tune with my body’s needs. By taking control of my thoughts, I reclaimed my sense of power and became an active participant in my healing process.
